Are you on timewarner (roadrunner) with DHCP or a static address? IF
static did they assign it all to you? If you do not know then i would
have to guess that it is DHCP. Are your networking scripts set for
eth0 to be assigned the ip DHCP? That would also account for your
route not being correct or being set. If you are here in the Dallas
area, Time Warner has been switching about the ips they use for
different subnets ever since they took over for Comcast.
