And then there are those who like to take it a step further and put
everything in one partition:

$ df -hTl -xtmpfs
Filesystem    Type    Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb5     ext3     51G   48G  2.7G  95% /

$ swapon -s
Filename				Type		Size	Used	Priority
/swapfile                               file		2047992	0	-2

That's the nice thing about Linux, you can choose what works for you.
