[NTLUG:Discuss] original file creation date?

I've seen the replies to this thread already (having to read latest first, long story, don't bother asking).  If exif of some other digital image program will output the picture creation date in a terminal window then it sounds like it's time for a script to grab that information  and modify the file date/time.

digital cameras insert meta data into the photos.

Look up exif. You can get the photo date from there.
