[NTLUG:Discuss] DVD writing problems.

I've experienced someting similar. Here's what happens:

When I first try to do something, it shows that it is trying to burn to 
/dev/hdc (this is the correct device).

Nothing works.

Clicking on the selector to the right (down arrow) shows me:

PIONEER DVR-113NP (/dev/hdc)

If I select THIS, everything works from DVD-RAM, DVD+/- R DL, DVD+/-RW, 
DVD+/-R as well as CD-R and CD-RW.


No Clue as to why, it just does.
