Kubuntu is a supported version of Ubuntu that defaults to the KDE desktop
(vs. Gnome for Ubuntu).
You get a similar effect by installing KDE on Ubuntu, but (I believe) you
don't get all of the nice wallpaper and tweaked settings which Kubuntu's KDE
closer to the Ubuntu colors.

Subject: [NTLUG:Discuss] Is there a difference
http://iso.linuxquestions.org/
The above download site lista ubuntu 8.04 and kubuntu 8.04. I guess I
delight in either exposing my linux challenges or my curiousity.
Is there a difference. I have ubuntu and choose the kubuntu desktop. Am I
missing something.
Please advise and thanks
Allen
