[NTLUG:Discuss] kbd concern

It goes without saying I appreciate all of the suggestions however from a relative newbie some of these while not totally beyond my comprehension do present challenges that seem to be beyond me
So lets assume it is some KBD error that evolved dor whatever reason or perhaps a bug.
It was not present on the initial CD used for installation am I not correct?
If so and I ask this with as much humility as I can muster.
Could I not delete kubuntu and reinstall and solve my problem
