This will be a first for me and I have explored synaptic manager and see several that looks like what I need. Someone please direct me to the most user friendly and thanks.

For a little more, once you have K3b started, in the top pane on the
right, navigate to wherever downloaded the .iso file to, then drag it
into the open pane on the bottom right. You will immediately be
presented with a dialog box to make a bootable image from file, select
yes and you're off an running. It wasn't that easy (at least it didn't
work that way for me) until the last couple of updates to K3b. Works
like a charm now. I LOVE K3b...it's really easy to make playable CD's
of your MP3/Ogg music collection from Amarok (if you're using KDE, you
ARE using Amarok for your music player, aren't you ;)) by right clicking
on the album name and selecting the burn to disc option, and you will be
presented with a dialog box asking if you want to make it an audio CD
(for playing in your car or boombox) or a data CD (for playing on your
computer or MP3 player) and it will also bring up K3b. Works wonders.
Enjoy!
