Is there a way to change the style or theme of the program menu so that
it is more Redmond-like instead of being the right & left scroll-ie
thing? Also, what configuration option is it that causes the tool-tip
popup whenever the mouse is left hovering over a running task that is
down in the task bar. I can't figure out how to make the taskbar
popups either go away totally or at least after a certain time. Is
there a way to make KDE in OpenSUSE less flashy? Maybe more like it
runs in Slackware? I did look in YAST and there are the
kdebase4-workstation-branding packages. Could it be as simple as
removing the opensuse branding and replacing it with the upstream branding?

Also, the monitor is running at 60Hz. It is VERY annoying as it is
flickering in time with the florescent lighting. How does one FORCE the
monitor to run at a specific Hz? Should I just edit the xorg.conf file
(or use the dialog boxes to do the same) to set the monitor range from
70Hz to 70Hz? Surely there has to be a better way.
