Here is the adapter and the vertical refresh rate for the monitor.

radeon x1550

512 megs ram

61Hz

Stupid question 2, is there a special way to load the driver other than 
just doing the xorgconfig?  That did not seem to work, nor did editing 
the xorg.conf file, either before or after running xorgconfig and 
restarting the xserver.  Thanks, Dennis
