Not a $99 laptop...not even CLOSE to $99

It's $99 IF you sign up for two years of AT&T wireless "broadband" at 
$60 per month.   Since AT&T wireless is a terrible service (we had it 
for 1 month before cancelling)...this is not a $99 laptop...you should 
perhaps think of it as a $1539 laptop with 2 years of free AT&T 
wireless...or a $500 laptop with $1040 of wireless service loaded on top 
for two years.
