OK, I just delivered the computer/printer to the woman who 
had complained about how slow it was. Cleaned out over 500
things - no viruses, though - put in 1GB ram instead of the
256M, defragged then installed opensuse 10.3/KDE 3.5
and lotsa goodies. I added an old external modem I had
because she only has dialup available. The cd/dvd was either
dirty or whatever, so it got swapped out.

The all-in-one is the $24 HP F2210 from Wal-mart. The
latest hplip made it print and the latest xsane got the scanner
working. Copying is done from the control panel on the unit. 
The ink cartridges say that they are the same capacity as the 
replacements, which were about $35. I was absolutely amazed
that an all-in-one that cheap would work.

So, a dual boot system with both XP and os 10.3 and an
all-in-one that works seamlessly in either operating system.
