[NTLUG:Discuss] open office word processor & odt file format

Not thinking when I was in Linux I created a rather long document in
open office in odt file format whose destination among others was a
windows only user.
My question is 2 fold (a) how do I convert this doc so the MS user can
read it? (b) what must I do in the future to take these windows users
into consideration when creating a word processing doc.

Thanks in advance as this XP user is on my case. Yes he is one of
those Linux oh no characters.
