- Not thinking when I was in Linux I created a rather long document in
- open office in odt file format whose destination among others was a
- windows only user.

- My question is 2 fold (a) how do I convert this doc so the MS user can
- read it? (b) what must I do in the future to take these windows users
- into consideration when creating a word processing doc.

1) Save As/MS Word 6..

2) have them install OpenOffice to be compatible with the rest
    of the group.

(Yes, there are current versions for MS-Windows available for
    download from OpenOffice.org)

3) Have them get Office 11, which (will) support the ISO Open
    standard ODT format.

4) Have them download the (promised) ODT importer for Office
    10.
