[NTLUG:Discuss] Linux Friendly DSL Providers for Richardson?

Hiya Gang,


My wife and I have a couple of kindly old spinster ladies across the 
street from our home needing to finally go broadband. They have an old 
PC that I'm going to convert to Linux (Suse or Kubuntu) for a new lease 
on life, but they have a real need for some inexpensive dsl options.

AT&S (SBC) says they are too far away from their central office for DSL 
service, Verizon doesn't offer any service in this territory, and 
bundled cable/internet is likely to expensive for their budget.

Any suggestions for an inexpensive DSL provider serving the Richardson 
area, close to UTD, and that is linux friendly?
