I've been using IPcop for almost 6 years. I highly recommend it. I've
set up my config so that my red interface uses DHCP to request its IP
from Verizon's router. My IPcop firewall doesn't need to know my
dynamic IP on the net, Verizon's router proxies my internet connections.
If I really need to know my IP at any particular moment, I can go to
http://whatismyip.com/ and it'll tell me what it is. I would assume
that TimeWarner's equipment works pretty much the same way. (Of course,
I've been wrong once or twice, in the past ... :-)

I hope this helps,
