[NTLUG:Discuss] Restore overwritten files on a DVD-R?

Hello:

I have a DVD-R where I overwrote some files
and now I want to get back the old versions
of those files.

The files have to be on the disc since it is a write
one medium, but I don't know how to get at them.

I have a dual boot system with XP/CentOS.

If someone knows how to do this in either environment,
please let me know.
