But at the same time don't develop a network tool that connects
to the first wireless network it sees. It must ALWAYS be a choice.
Windows just merrily connects to the first thing it finds... at least
that's what XP does (by default).
NetworkManager comes real close to a tool that is smarter than you are...
to which I say, "We must all be pretty dumb."
But that's not too different from starting up a network based service
without allowing the end administrator to properly configure the
service. So... I'd say, don't confuse the desire for "ease of
use" for making assumptions about how things are supposed to be.
Assumption because "we're stupid" is the Windows mantra... I think
they don't understand "ease of use" in a safe/secure way... and
we don't need Linux distributions adhering to an "assumption"
style of "ease of use".
