[NTLUG:Discuss] java enabled browser

I keep getting this error  :  "  LiveStats requires a Java enabled browser
to operate properly".
from http://64.78.23.2:9999/LiveStats/Error.aspx?ErrorID=8 .

This is a Microsoft server so could that be the problem?

I am using firefox and enable java is checked in preferences.

I am running ubuntu 8.10 and when I type  " java -version "
the results are :

java version "1.6.0_0"
IcedTea6 1.3.1 (6b12-0ubuntu6.1) Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b12)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 1.6.0_0-b12, mixed mode, sharing)


So, isn't java installed ?

Why would i get the error above ?
