I know you're a noob.  We all were once.  I'm sorry I don't have an
answer  for your issue.  But, please allow me to make some
suggestions.

When replying to a Digest version of the list, please edit your
Subject line so it is more specific to the topic.
Please trim our everything not pertinent to the topic.  It's tough
going through six topics trying to figure out what you are talking
about.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail?
