[NTLUG:Discuss] What a twit

Howdy,
You may be talking about my comments about twitter, among others. I
am not bashing twitter. But, identi.ca is open source and therefore, in
my mind more trustworthy. So, I'd rather use it, and I know a lot of
other open source people feel the same way. I don't know anything
particularly bad about twitter. Since it is closed source and tied to
their servers, it just seems better to use the open source guys. That
way, there is less chance of being locked into whatever decisions
twitter makes in the future. At any point, we could take laconi.ca's
software and run our own server. So, no bashing is intended. But,
pushing for the open source alternative is OK, isn't it? I even waited
for someone else to bring it up. By getting over it, you mean we should
just all use identi.ca, right?
Good day,
Ralph
