I mentioned to John T. and others that the Elitebook 2530p had a serial
port... it DOES NOT. I was mistaken. It's still a great mini-laptop
though. Near netbook size but with full horsepower. You can get one
with a L9600 @ 2.13GHz, 160G disk, 4G memory, 2MP webcam, Intel
wireless, SDHC reader, DVDRW, external VGA, free docking station and
fairly long (6-7 hr) battery life for about $1700.00 at bertlins.com (I
got mine for less.. price is going up, HP has it on sale which why it is
priced lower than the lesser config'd versions).

I'm running openSUSE 11.1 on mine... works great. Might be some issues
with suspend to memory/disk though.. but that's life with the kernel and
the Intel drivers (uses a 4500MHD).

I got mine for about $1600 (you can still find that I think if you
search), and plan on taking it to 8G ram.... since it has a real CPU, it
has the Intel vt extension, so virtualization should work well even for
those "bad" OS's out there.
