I'm using,

              MPlayer 29040-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team.
Sure, mpeg-4 is nothing. Here's there website:

                         http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html

              My kernel?

                         2.6.25

It's an old machine (2004?) so going to a bleeding-edge
kernel doesn't buy me anything.

                                                           Erich
