You can download the unrar source code here:  
http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm

It is a command line utility.  "unrar e archive.rar" will extract the 
archive, and I think "unrar x archive.rar" will extract with the full path.

Alternatively, I believe 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) has RAR support 
built in.  If you use a distro with a package management repository, you 
may be able to grab the unrar and 7zip utilities from there.
