We actully use a RoomAlert 7E (another PageR type product), but just for the
hardware. We turned SNMP on and the have Nagios monitor the output of the
sensors. We currently have the internal temp, an externel temp, a sensor on
the door to the server room, a power sensor, and a sensor on the A/C fan
monitored. We then have Nagios take care of whatever the appropriate action
would be (email us, text message us, shutdown servers, etc) depending on
what is going wrong. I think we used the PageR software for about a week
and threw it out the window (and through out the Windows server that it
required).

Anyway, we have had our RoomAlert for about 2 years so far with no
malfunctions from it and it was pretty cheap, so depending on your needs,
you might could just buy a couple (in case of hardware failure, you could
check multiple RoomAlerts before triggering action) and then have something
like Nagios montior them.

Hope this helps.
