Yep. Some distros at point randomly shipped 32-bit and 64-bit apps and
libraries. If one calls the other, unless all parameters and return
values for the call are 32bit, things don't work very well. SuSE solved
this by making 32-bit "wrapper libraries" for a bunch of the 64-bit
stuff so that 32-bit apps could call into the 64-bit system libraries
and parse the return values without a glitch. That kind of support
would be useful if I need an application that was compiled for 32-bit only.
