[NTLUG:Discuss] slightly OT: CF card question with HP officejet 7310

HP Officejet 7310, using a compact flash card and HP Device Manager 
(version 10.0, with HPLIP version 2.7.7)
Madriva 2008

4GB CF card does not seem to work ... the camera can deal with it, but 
the printer cannot
1GB CF card does work

Does anyone know where I can find out what the memory limitation of this 
device and software are?  My googles have not returned anything of use 
as yet.
