If security is your concern, keep in mind that a VPN will only secure 
half of your connection.  From the VPN to the Public sites you are 
connecting to will not be secured.  You need to make sure that you only 
send private data to SSL (https) websites.  SSL connections are secure 
end-to-end even over wireless.
