[NTLUG:Discuss] HD data recovery service

Does anyone know of a good data recovery service for recovering
files off of a non-functional hard-drive?  A friend of mine has
a Maxtor 80 GB SATA drive that can no longer be read by normal
means and would like to recover the data from it if possible.

I've tried a variety of tools on the drive myself with no success.

Any suggestions or recommendations greatly appreciated.  Feel free
to send to me privately; I can summarize to the list later.
