[NTLUG:Discuss] OT sortof. Input on Samsung/Android Roms

I just got a Captivate and have been having fun flashing all kinds of
roms. I now want to find one to settle into and start using the phone.

Are there any Android/Samsung hackers on the list with an experienced
opinion of what is the best rom for my phone?

Before you tell me I am asking the "best distro" question; let me clarify.
Captivate has issues with GPS and its deep sleep. I dont want to spend
months wading through buggy, unsupported roms if someone can give
input
