Worse, when it ceased showing the Fuze Expansion card, it also wiped out 
the ability to show ANY attached device, loaded CD or DVD. When you load 
a CD, you have a popup asking what program to use to deal with it is 
disabled.  This happened to my wife's computer and when I checked it on 
my laptop, it did the same to my laptop. The only thing it hasn't done 
this to is my laptop with Slackware. It's soemthing to do with Kubuntu.

Whatever happened may also have affected my wife's iPod as it became 
bricked. I had to boot windoze and run iTunes to set it back to factory 
settings.  I checked for any rootkits with rkhunter and nothing there 
(just in case there was some malware issues).
