Fred, if you're just experimenting or setting up a personal site,
something like Joomla is probably overkill.  (And running a rather
busy Joomla site, I certainly wouldn't recommend it.)  Start small...a
wiki like Wikka or pmwiki is probably best.  It would be easy to get
overwhelmed with something like WordPress.
