Howdy,
  If you have to run the malware known as Windows, this is a good way to
do it.  I have done something similar for a customer.  If you have a
situation where you don't expect to get a lot of new data on the
computer, create a snapshot in VirtualBox or whatever they call it in
other vm software.  Then, you can get them back running fast after the
inevitable happens.
 There are problems with showing Windows running in a VM at the Fair.
One is you are condemning someone to putting Windows on a personal
machine.  I don't know anyone I dislike enough to ask that.  Second, the
license for Windows may not allow it.  I would not want someone to
publicly show off that they were violating the license.
