If Ubuntu 10.04 works ok, stick with it, no need for 10.10 (or 11.04
which should be out today).

My Ubuntu system is 10.04, (which was upgraded from 8.04), and it is a
very good and stable system, and I like it that way.

10.04 is LTS, (as was 8.04).  LTS is a two year cycle and it is "the
place to be", (in my opinion), for a Ubuntu user that is interested in
a reliable and stable system.

LTS is an abbreviation for “Long Term Support”.  See:
