My concern about "open" is whether non-Linux users identify with it at 
all.  It doesn't necessarily even have a uniform definition (commercial 
companies playing with the "open" term to mean that the source is 
available but not modifiable).  My thinking is that this is something we 
could explain WHEN they come to see what there is.
