[NTLUG:Discuss] RDP replacement

Noted the post about licensing for RDP use of Windows, I'm running into 
a related issue and am wondering what good alternatives are out there.  
Trying to connect to a Windows PC through some kind of web-based 
Microsoft portal (don't even know what it is other than the fact that it 
has MS plastered all over it).  The rub is that an ActiveX control is 
required and Firefox isn't doing that.  I'm familiar with *VNC but what 
I'm looking for is a web-based proxy replacement for this MS thing.  Any 
ideas?
