What I failed to mention aside from the Toshiba difficulty is all these years I have been wired and with the Toshiba
I acquired a wireless modem/ So wireless in general is my "short suit"
I created a wireless network in Win 7 created partitioning with ext3 and started trying to install Linux. Finally was able to
install 10.04 not 10.10, but the moment I installed it and created dual boot wireless was immediately recognized without my doing anything.
I will be happy to load Suse again if I could prevail on you to give me a step by step procedure. Please understand at 80 my comprehension little
slower, but my Linux "want to" is stronger then ever
To answer your frirst question by getting on line I simply mean being able to surf and send mail in Linux as I can in Win 7 utilizing my wireless capability.

When you say getting online just what do you mean?

In network manager uncheck "IPv6" , although IPv6 is live now most ISP are

still on IPv4 , check out IPv6 website for test .

Thieves come through Windows, that is why I use Linux.
