It has been some time since we have had a discussion on the upcoming
expo in October. At our next meeting I want to have a more in depth
discussion of what we want to do. I have invited the NTPCUG leaders to
join in our discussion.

At this time we will vote on the name that we wish to propose to the
NTLUG board. Remember that this expo is to show all attendees of the
meeting of all software, which we wish to be a major contributor.

To review, the proposed names are:
1. Software for Productivity and Enjoyment Expo
2. User Space Software Expo
3. North Texas Regional software Expo
4. Software and Systems Expo
5. Software for Work and Play Expo
6. ???

In one of my last discussions I proposed a general theme of topics that
demos might be set up for. To data I have not received anyone saying
that they would like to present any topic. In order for the expo to
succeed, we need presenters. So who will be stepping up and do a demo. I
also want presenters from the MS side.

In addition to demo support, we will need those that have a knowledge of
setting up some sort of advertisement, such as radio. We want this to be
a demonstration of what people can do with their system. How can you
help make the expo succeed?

Topics that I previously suggested are:
1. Audio
2. Video
3. Telephony (Asterisk)
4. Network Testing
5. Graphics - Photo
6. Graphics - Drawing
7. Office Productivity (Libre Office)
8. Office Organizer -- Evolution
9. Programming
10. System Security
11. Network Security
12. Wine
13. Virtualization
        a. VMware
        b. Virtual Box
        c. KVM
14. Street Mapping (Open Street Map)
15. Gaming
16. Server Requirements
17. Different Distributions
18. Utilizing Proprietary Codecs (Audio / Video)
19. Embedded Linux
20. Home productivity
21. ???

Please come to the meeting and participate and sign up to help and
present a demo.
