OK, we are officially on for October 15th as the North Texas Software
Fair. We have the large hall in the basement for setting up in. Please
realize that this fair will be more formal that past fairs because it is
in coordination with the NTPCUG, which will be demonstrating MS Windows
applications. We are dealing with many more people, so action on
everyone's part is required.
Now it is up to you to step forward and commit to a demonstration. What
do you want to demonstrate? This is important as we want to show that we
can put on a great demonstration of different applications that work
under Linux.
Let me know what you would like to demonstrate. Information that I need
from you:
Your name
Email Address
Application to be demonstrated
A very short description of what it does.
Do you require Internet access (this is limited service)
You will be provided a power outlet, but must provide an additional
power strip to plug your equipment into. It is recommended that you be
able to support two monitors, one for you and one for the audience, but
working on a single monitor is OK is that is what you need to do. We
will be limiting Internet access to two areas due to limited wired
access, running wireless may be subject to bandwidth limitations.
I also need help in the coordination, especially for getting the word
out about the fair. Please let me know how you can help.
Please, lets show how great Linux is and put on a great show.
