I'm doing a massive spring cleaning at the house. That's going to free up a ton
of equipment that is certainly destined for the junk pile.

I may make a post of some things to the forums at hardforum.com.. not sure...
I'd prefer to get rid of it locally at no cost.

I have a ton of IDE/PATA drives... most are 250G, 300G and a couple (I think
brand new) at 320G. I also have a really cool device that is an external RAID
subsystem where you can use IDE/PATA drives and connect to it via SCSI. It's 4
drive bays and is designed to go deskside. I think mine is currently loaded
with 4 x 300GB drives in RAID5 (obviously have have spares as well).

(note all benches below used a recent Linux)

Bechies for the Aiby external RAID unit:

I also have some an LSI MegaRAID U320-2 and an LSI MegaRAID U320-2x.. these used
to be near the top of the line. And I did recently test both and they put up
excellent benchmark numbers (both against the same RAID5 of 4 x 73G 10K SCSI
drives):

I also have many smaller memory sticks... small meaning 512M or less. I might
have some 1G sticks... all various stuff.. I prefer "server".. so much will be ECC.

I also have a ton of books going bye bye....

O'Reilley:
DNS & BIND 4th Ed.
Managing NFS and NIS
SSH, The Secure Shell
Sed and Awk
Java in a Nutshell

Others:
Networking UNIX (SAMS)
TCP/IP Illustrated Volume3 Addison/Wesley
MH and Xmh (ok... I doubt anybody wants it.. but hey...)
HTML 5th Ed. Visual Quickstart (covers HTML and CSS)
Linux Patch Management (Bruce Perens series)
Jenkins Information Systems Policies and Procedure Manual (and 1999 Supplement
Update)
Complete Reference Solaris 9

Shoot .. I'm willing to part with my Cappuccino G1 even...

Also I know have have an Archos 504 somewhere and a Cowon A2 and an Insignia
Pilot... (I love the last one, it's small, does video out as well... easy to
take with you and supports a full size SDHC card).

I have cables, etc.. as well... so if you need something, just ask.

Ok... now.. you're probably saying, we're not allowed to sell stuff through
discuss.. very true.. which is why this is a grab bag of free stuff.... I just
need to clear this stuff out.. or toss it...

Please contact me directly on any of this stuff.... or ask about something not
seen. e.g.. maybe you need a SATA cable or something... maybe you need a PCIe
board with USB 2.0 ports... maybe you need a video board.... maybe you need a
Pentium 4 based desktop...

I can try to make a complete list... there's just SO much....

Anyway.. got to get back to cleaning....
