You have an ESSID (or just SSID) and that's the string used for
the network name. Then there's the BSSID and that's usually the MAC
address for AP. The ability to specify both an ESSID and BSSID is in my
NetworkManager windows on Fedora 14 (what I'm running on my laptop here).
'iwconfig' will tell you the MAC address or BSSID of the AP to which
you're connected.
Question is whether or not all the AP's have the same BSSID. They could
be the same in order to keep things seemless as you move between AP's.
