Are you resolved? If not, feel free to ping me off-list for a quick
response. Btw, the wrtg box is actually running a linux OS that can be
administered either via a web interface or a telnet connection (web has
worked for all my needs, so have never tried the telnet). The newer
boxes have an autoupdate feature so that they will support IPv6 when
Verizon gets a few final kinks worked out (during IPv6 day last year,
they found out their implementation somewhere along the line took down
FIOS TV, something they have been working ever since to fix). Also, I'm
currently serving some webpages with a self-signed cert at
https://sda.dyndns-server.com/ if you want to see an example of Dynamic
DNS support in action. The WRTG box should also have 4 standard
Ethernet jacks on it, and it is then connected by one of several options
to the FIOS box on the side of the house. Note that the external IP
address of the internal router is allocated dynamically from the Verizon
CO that your FIOS is connected to.
