[NTLUG:Discuss] Sort of OT but not totally

Although I had "kind of" noticed for a while that Microsoft switched 
from a Multiple Document Interface to a Single Document Interface for 
(at least) Excel with Office 2013 the significance came to me in the 
last few days.  I find this fascinating because Open/LibreOffice has 
always been Single Document Interface and I would have thought Microsoft 
would have promoted Multiple Document Interface as an advantage.  Anyone 
know the reason for the change (advertized or real)?
