[NTLUG:Discuss] Latitude C640/DockII Parallel Port: lp1?

Greetings.

I am trying to set up an old Dell Latitude C640 as a Print Server, using 
Linux Mint 13 as the OS.  I have an HP Color Printer (USB) already 
hooked up and operational.  I am trying to hook up an old Canon printer 
(the ink is WAY cheaper and it has good quality output).  The Canon 
plugs into a Parallel port and is definately operational.  But when 
plugged into the docking station, the computer act like the printer is 
not connected.

I've been Googling for the ports and layouts for this system, and 
possible configurations required, but I've been coming up empty.

Question: Is the parallel port on this docking station on LP1 instead of 
LP0?

Does anybody know where to find any documentation for how to hook this up?
