Unless you go ultra low end.. you're probably lookin at $500 to $600.   Occasionally less, but usually only 4gb.  I'll keep an eye out for any steals.  If you can live with Pentium or Celeron maybe a bit less.

If eBay is ok, then you can get a powerhouse for those prices btw.

Does anybody know of any good sales on pc ? I would consider laptop or
tower. I would like 1 Terabyte hard drive and 8 gig Ram. doesn't need to be
a gaming machine, for internet and development and general use.       Thank
