Maybe, your email to this list and your YouTube comments suffer from the same problem. Web browsers will ignore extra white space. Two words with multiple spaces between them will display with only one space between them.
On a web page, to forcibly include extra spaces you need to use   ( just in case my email fails to display that properly, it is & nbsp ;  without the spaces) to produce extra spaces and <br> to produce a line break (carriage return).There are also other formatting tags such as <p>.
YouTube may have a filter in place to prevent you from doing so in the comments. That helps with cross site scripting attacks.  If that's the case, you may be out of luck. But,try experimenting with   and <br> to see what happens.

Well that was useless ... the "I want" section was supposed to have 4 
spaces in front of lines 2 & 3 ... but they seem to have been lost in 
the mail?
