  That would be 8 USB ports?, PCI slots? 10-baseT ports? Floppy drives?

 A nice firewall box I have been looking at lately is:

It's small, quiet, runs a standard distro like Ubuntu or FreeBSD and
has 4 gigabit ethernet ports.  It does not have 8 of any port, so I
don't know how good it would be for you.
