Friends,
I have decided to attend the Embedded World Exhibition in Austin, on
November 8 - 10!
After some research, I think you might like to know why you should consider
attending also.
This type of conference does not usually happen in the Central US, anymore.
They are usually in Boston or California (hosted by EE Times, ARM or the
Linux Foundation).
But, this event is being hosted by a different organization. Embedded World
has been held in Germany for many years, but they recognized this big hole
we have in Texas, abandoned by companies with no vision or leadership (like
TI), and so they decided to host Embedded World in America, for the first
time.
NXP, STM, Infineon and Analog Devices are the major chip companies
anchoring this event and the focus is on the embedded board and software
development tools vendors that support their architectures. Notably absent
are TI, Nvidia, Broadcom, Qualcomm and Intel. I could explain that, but it
would be a long rant!
I particularly want to see some of the latest Computer Vision and AI stuff,
like BrainChip’s Akida.
The full conference pass is more than I will spend at $650. But, the
exhibition-only pass is only $55, and you can use the super-secret discount
