Identifying the Default Gateway
netstat -rn
- Shows the defined routes on the system, including a default gateway route. The -n option prevents IP -> name lookups.
Notes:
Netstat could show static routing information as well. Occasionally you will find hosts that are configured to serve as routers. In those cases the routing table continues to grow as new routes are learned.
