Shirts are in! White knit shirts with pocket. The logo you can see on
http://www.ntlug.org

BUT...quantities are LIMITED this first time. So, if you want
a shot at getting a shirt, you will want to sit in the middle
section and we'll sell them AFTER the main presentation
starting with the front row moving left to right and up
the middle section. You may want to consider coming early.
(try not to get there before the Beginner's Group unless
you are there for the Linux Installation Project)

$30 per shirt (ONE PER PERSON THIS TIME), $35 if you need XXL.
Checks can be made payable to the North Texas Linux Users Group
or we can take cash (try to be exact.. it will speed things up).

The presentation will be a little bit adhoc. It's supposed
to be on ImPress 1.1 (currently working on beta 6). I'll
probably just show off some of the latest features which will include:

Showing how a Postscript file from Windows can be edited.
Showing the new image handling feature.
Showing the support for page macros (for template like things..
e.g. page numbers, date & time)
  Some headaches... lessons learned...

ImPress is a freely available desktop publishing system that
can work as a standalone program or from inside of a Web browser.
ImPress is a vector graphics package, but handles arranging
raster images (one of the new features).

The meeting is at Nokia in Irving, near Highway 114 and MacArthur. See
<http://www.ntlug.org/cal> for exact directions to the particular building on
the campus. Note: the back entrance (by the parking garage) is
where you normally want to enter... but, they're doing a lot of
construction... so I can't be exact.

Schedule:
9 am - The Linux Install Project (may run until noon)
10 am - Beginners Group
11 am - Chris Cox, ImPress 1.1

Regards,
Chris Cox
