The init process is one of the simplest things
to understand yet so misunderstood and often
maligned for it's "complexity". Join us for a
look at the rudiments of System V Style Init (which
is used by many major Linux distributions). Init
is the ancestral parent of all processes and
is used to determine the operational characteristics
of the platform based on the processes and daemons
it starts.

Btw.... we're not talking about the crappy
Sys V Init that Some Company Ownz.

AGENDA:

9:00am -- (whenever) Linux Installation Project
10:00am -- 11:00am Beginning Linux Training
11:00am -- 12:00pm Linux Sys V Style Init

Directions, calendar? http://www.ntlug.org/cal.html

Enjoy!
Chris
